1. What is "IMAP"?
- IMAP stands for Internet Mail Access Protocol. That is interactive email access protocol, one of email access standards like POP3. The different things is that after you open IMAP, you can retain emails you collect with email client in server, the operations of the client will feedback to the server at the same time. For example, deleting email, marking as read etc. These operations will be taken in server. So whatever you log in mailbox from browser or client software, you can see the status of emails are the same.
2. How to use IMAP service in email applications of Android system?
- There is a tutorial for the user to learn how to use email application Mail of Android to create IMAP account of mailtech mailbox. Take HTC mobile phone for example(The operations are the same as other Android mobile phone excluding for interface.):
- 1) Open mobile phone and enter into "Email" of Android system.
- 2) If you use mobile network, please select "Settings" to open mobile network when the page gives the message "cannot connect".
- 3) Click the menu to select "More" and "Create Account" after finishing network settings.
- 4) Select the mail provider "Others (POP3/IMAP)".
- 5) Enter your complete mailbox username(xxxx@mailtech.com) and password, and click "Next".
- 6) Because mobile phone default is POP, you need to change IMAP when you set receiving server.
- 7) Receiving server set IMAP receiving server address: imap.mailtech.com (please contact system administrators for server address), Security type: SSL, Port: 993, click "Next" after you finish settings.
- 8) Sending server set SMTP sending server address: smtp.mailtech.com (please contact system administrators for server address), Security type: SSL, Port: 465 / 994, click "Next" after you finish settings. After finishing account settings, enter account name and name displayed on sender.
- 9) Click "Finish Settings" to send and receive emails.
3. How to use IMAP service in email applications of Symbian system?
- There is also a tutorial for the user to see how to use email application Mail of Symbian to create IMAP account of mailtech mailbox. Take Nokia 5800xm mobile phone for example(The operations are the same as other Symbian mobile phone excluding for interface.):
- 1) Open mobile phone "menu"-"tool"-"email service" to enter into mail settings of Symbian system.
- 2) Click "Start" in the lower left of email related guide.
- 3) Then click "Create" to create account.
- 4) Enter your email address and password and click "Yes".
- 5) After adding mailbox, you just click "Option" in the lower left and "Settings"-"Mailbox Settings" to set sending/receiving server.
- 6) Enter into mailbox settings page, please check your email address, and click "Advanced mailbox settings".
- 7) Click "Receiving Server" to set receiving server.
- 8) Receiving server settings, IMAP receiving server address: imap.mailtech.com (please contact system administrators for server address), Security type: open(SSL/TSL), Port: 993, click "Back" after you finish settings.
- 9) Back to advanced settings, click "Sending email settings" to set receiving server.
- 10) Sending server set SMTP sending server address: smtp.mailtech.com (please contact system administrators for server address), Security type: open(SSL/TLS), Port: 465 / 994, click "Back" after you finish settings.
- After finishing operations above you can send and receive email through IMAP service.
4. How to use IMAP service in email applications of iPhone 3/4, ipod touch?
- There is tutorial for the user to learn how to use email application Mail of iPhone 3/4, ipod touch to create IMAP account of mailtech mailbox. Take iPhone 4 for example(The operations are the same as iPhone 3gs and iPod touch excluding for interface.):
- 1) Enter into "Settings" of iPhone 4 and select "Mail/contacts/Calendar".
- 2) Select mailbox type. If company mailbox does not in the list, please select "Others".
- 3) Enter your mailbox name, address and incorrect password(Apple system use POP3, you need to enter incorrect one to change if youd like to use IMAP service). You dont have to fill in description and then click "Next".
- 4) The information for setting IMAP account as following. Enter correct account and password then click "Next". Receiving server address: imap.mailtech.com, sending server address: smtp.mailtech.com(please contact system administrators for server address)
- 5) Click "Store" to finish settings. And you can use company mailbox with IMAP feature through iPhone client.
- Warm tips: AS iPhone, iPod touch you use is 4.0 or lower version, SSL is closed and we suggest you open in advanced settings, there are methods to open:
- 1) If you have finished setting account, enter into this account settings to change.
- 2) Click "Account Introduction" and set account you have added.
- 3) Click "Advanced" tag at the bottom of page to set SSL.
- 4) Open "Advanced" tag.Settings: use SSL open; Verification: password; Delete from server: never; Port of Server: 993 (You need to check whether SMTP server port is 465 or 994.).(If SSL is closed, please set server port 143 and SMTP server port 25.)
5. How to use IMAP service in email applications of iPad?
- There is introduction for user to how to use email application Mail of iPad to create IMAP account of mailtech mailbox.
- 1) Enter into "Settings" of iPad and select "Mail/contacts/Calendar"-and "ccount type".
- 2) Select "Others" in other option and click "Add mail account". Enter your mailbox name, address and incorrect password(Apple system use POP3, you need to enter incorrect one to change if youd like to use IMAP service). You dont have to fill in description and then click "Store".
- 3) Set IMAP account as following: Enter the correct username and password. Click "Store" after finishing setting, and you can open company mailbox with IMAP feature. Receiving server name: imap.mailtech.com and Sending server name: smtp.mailtech.com (Please consult system administrator for detail about server address.)
- Warm tips: AS iPad you use is 4.0 or lower version, SSL is closed and we suggest you open in advanced settings, there are methods to open:
- 1) If you have finished setting up the account, enter into this account settings to change.

1. What is Coremail pushmail?
- A kind of new mobile email service, it is a service in which email information is pushed to the users mobile phone, and provide instant email sending and receiving feature. Also it can synchronize personal contacts and search organization contacts.
2. What kind of mobile phones do Coremail pushmail support currently?
- Currently Coremail pushmail supports these kinds of mobile phones:
- 1) Windows mobiles series (Operation System 5.0 advanced)
- 2) iPhone series
- 3) Android series(Operation System 2.0 advanced)
3. How to configure Coremail pushmail in Nokia Symbian mobile phone?
- Coremail pushmail supports third generation series mobile phone. You can find internal client application in Nokia mobile phone for Mail for Exchange. (If not please login to the official website to check whether if it has the corresponding version to install Mail For Exchange. Then please download the application according to your mobile phone version through official website. The process of setting up is as following, take N73 for example:
- 1) Open mail for exchange, and enter the username and password. Mail server name is mail.domain.com. (please contact the system administrators for server address.)Open the SSL security connection.
- 2) In roaming synchronized service, you can select default settings "Yes, always".
- 3) Set "Always open" in "Peak synchronized schedule/no peak synchronized schedule" and an email will sent to your mobile phone instantly. You can select synchronized time according to the actual working time.
- 4) Please set prior for mobile devices in "Conflict settings".
- 5) Please select "contacts" and "Email" to synchronize the content. (The system does not support synchronized calendar currently, please do not tick this option.)
- 6) We suggest you select the emails from three days or a week in "synchronized informaition tide" to keep the oversized mailbox from crashing your flash card.
- After finishing the general settings, you can start to send and receive email through pushmail.
4. How to configure Coremail pushmail in Windows mobiles?
- Coremail pushmail supports wm5. 0 advanced mobile phone, please find and open client application Activesync in your mobile phone.
- 1) Enter username and password. Mail server address: mail.domain.com. (please contact system administrators for server address.)Open SSL connection.
- 2) Please select "contacts" and "Email" to synchronize the email content. (The system does not support synchronized calendar currently.)
- 3) After click menu and "Advanced" in "Conflict settings", please set prior for mobile device.
- 4) We suggest you set downloading email duration 3 days and size 10-20K to keep the oversized from crashing your flash card when you set synchronize the email.
- 5) Click menu and "Schedule Arrangement" and set "Option when arrive" in "Peak synchronized schedule/no peak synchronized schedule". And emails will be pulled to your mobile phone. You can select synchronization time according to actual working time. Please select roaming service when you need.
- After finishing the general settings, you can start to send and receive email through pushmail.
5. How to configure Coremail pushmail in iPhone?
- Coremail pushmail supports all iPhone devices. Please find and open mail client application in your mobile phone to add account "Microsoft Exchange". Take iPhone 3GS for example(The operations are the same as other iphones excluding for the interface. )
- 1) Enter username and password. Mail server address: mail.domain.com. (please contact the system administrator for server address. )
- 2) Please select "contacts" and "Email" to synchronize the email content. (The system does not support synchronized calendar currently. )
- 3) We suggest you set downloading email duration to 3 days and push to the inbox folder.
- 4) Open SSL security connection.
- 5) When you synchronize contacts information of account, iPone will inquire you that whether to retain or delete the information, please select to retain.
- 6) Set synchronization time and open "Push" in "acquiring new data" then select to set acquiring information frequency according to actual working time.
- After finishing the general settings, you can start to send and receive email through pushmail.
6. How to configure Coremail pushmail in Android mobile phone?
- Coremail pushmail supports Android 2. 0 or more advanced android mobile devices. Please find and open mail client application in your mobile phone and then, to add account go to "Exchange ActiveSync". Take HTC G7 for example(The operations are the same as other Android system phones excluding for the interface. )
- 1) Enter username, password and domain. Mail server address: mail.domain.com. (please contact system administrators for server address. )
- 2) If customer mail server has open SSL service, you can tick this option.
- 3) Please select "contacts" and "Email" to synchronize the email content. (The system does not support synchronized calendar currently. )Click "Finish Settings" to start email synchronization.
- 4) Click "menu" to select "more-settings-send and receive". Select peak time and frequency of synchronize email in "timeable". And you can select synchronize time according to actual working time. When it is set to "option when arrive (push)", mail server will send new email to your mobile phone at real time.
- 5) Click to "Settings-Account and Synchronization-Exchange Activesync-Release Conflict" and select "Retain all options in phone" to stop the confict when synchronizing contacts as it might replace contacts in mobile phone.
- 6) Click "Settings-Account and Synchronization-General Synchronize Settings-Blackground Data Synchronization/auto Synchronization" and keep ticking to open.
- 7) Click "Settings-Account and Synchronization - Exchange Activesync" and cancel "Synchronize Calendar" project. Click "Synchronize immediately" in page to finish email and contacts Synchronization.
- After finishing the general settings, you can start to send and receive email through pushmail and synchronize to search contacts in mailbox.
7. What kind of mobile networks support Coremail pushmail?
- Coremail pushmail supports GPRS, CDMA and wifi network.
8. How much flow can be generated by using Coremail pushmail?
- The flow generated by Coremail pushmail is mainly the flow of sending and receiving emails and it depends on the size and number of your emails. We suggest you to set limit of email size properly. For example, 1K. Select to download and read all the email when necessary. And you can use different kinds of flow monthly payment service.
9. Why are my pushmail emails late occasionally?
- There are several issues that might cause your mobile phone to not receive push emails on time.
- 1) Network problem. When you are at places where the signal of mobile network is bad, it can cause your emails to not be pushed on time.
- 2) Mobile phone settings problem. If you close your default auto synchronized data, mobile phone will not auto synchronize new data. It will work only if you open the application.
- 3) Mobile phone system problem. If your mobile phone is executing mutiple task at the same time, it is likely to cause your emails to not be pushed on time.
- 4) Others issues. please contact system administrator to check logs to solve the issues.
10. How to save power
- You can set frequency of email receiving and select time duration of receiving emails. For example, non-working time and receiving emails once everyday,
11. How to deal with the large number of emails which occupy much space of my mobile phone?
- Generally, you can delete a part of emails which have big size. (Email will be sent to the Deleted folder after deleting, and this operation synchronize with the mail server. If emails are deleted completely, you cannot restore them. )You can set account again after deleting account and the system will default synchronize emails within three days.
12. Will the emails in my mail server be deleted after deleting the accounts?
- No. But if you have synchronized personal contacts in mailbox with mobile phone, these contacts will disappear after deleting accounts.

4. How to compose and read emails in iPad version mailbox?
- 1) Compose Emails: Click "Compose Mail" in the top left corner of mail list after logging in and you can compose emails. Click "+" on the right side to add recipients and also click to add Cc/Bcc. (Note: Mailbox of iPad Version cannot upload attachment temporarily.)
- 2) Read Emails: Click "refresh" behind Inbox and then receiving emails after logging in mailbox. The recipients and subject of unread emails will be bold. Click corresponding emails in a list on the left side of Inbox and you can check on the right side. Touch screen to operate mail list and you can scroll down to check other email by clicking "Check more emails".
5. What is a small flag used for behind the subject of the email?
- If you have any important emails or youd like to make mark it, you can click a white flag behind email subjects. After being clicked,the white flag will turn red so that you do not forget important emails.
6. How to search senders and emails?
- Click magnifier icon in top of Inbox list and you can search according to email subject or recipient.
7. How to Bulk process emails?
- Mailbox of iPad adapted version can bulk delete,move and mark read and unread.
- Procedure: Tick emails youd like to operate on the left side and upward arrow in the lower right side of email subject list. And you can Bulk process these emails in the option area.

- Email is essential and standard on mobile office. Coremail released APP to allow users to receive and send email promptly on mobile devices at anytime anywhere. You can use your fragmented time to take control your work progress. You can also view organization contacts and sync personal contacts and calendar by Lunkr APP.
1. Which mobile system does APP support?
- Android requirements: Android 4.0 or above version supported.
- IOS requirements: IOS 6/7 version supported.
- Mailbox system supports version above Coremail4.0.7 and above XT3.0.3(included).
2. How to sync calendar on IOS APP?
- After installing Lunkr APP, you will be notified whether to sync calendar or contacts on your first login, or you can install sync configuration on APP account setting. You can accept meeting invitation or invite contacts to the meeting on your mobile calendar.
3. How to sync calendar on Android APP?
- After installing Lunkr APP, the system will default to sync calendar and contacts on your first login. Or you can select Sync calendar on Account setting.
- Note: Android only supports one-way sync calendar and personal contacts, which refers that sync calendar and personal contacts of mailbox to phone.
4. How to fill server information on the first login?
- Please confirm your network before login. Coremail users with registered APP can login by entering mailbox account and password. Users unregistered, please contact Coremail after-sales customer service for registration.
